As a destination Suffolk boasts a stunning coastline, delightful countryside including forests and heathlands found in the Brecks and two of the region’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (Suffolk Coast and Heaths and Dedham Vale). Tourism businesses, more than any rely on the high quality of the environment to attract visitors to the area. Therefore running a successful tourism business requires increasing attention to impacts on the environment. Complying with environmental legislation, improving the energy efficiency of operations, reducing the costs of waste management and avoiding damage to your reputation through pollution incidents are all elements of managing any business.
